Saint-James l’Atelier is the story of Saint-James, the real Saint-James, since 1889: 100% wool sweaters are knitted here, simply unique, thanks to the longevity of the knit fabric. Saint-James sweaters are handed down from one generation to the next. Saint-James l’Atelier is also the world of sea crossings and stripes: marinières are made in the workshops using unique know-how.

It’s all about proportion, balance and, of course, quality. The 16×8 stripe is unique to Saint-James. Sailor sweaters and marinieres are the perfect complement to any personality. A Marée or a Matelot sweater, a Minquier or Méridien sailor suit, worn with denim or chino, over or under, brings a style, a look, an attitude that’s unique to each and every one of us. Saint-James l’Atelier is all about the iconic Saint-James sweaters, sailors and coats that have stood the test of time, in both authentic and new colors, as well as new styles born of the sea.

Each season, we reinterpret these classics, creating new models with simple designs, some of them timeless in the future, always inspired by the sea, the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel that surrounds us and this 132-year-old heritage that is still very much alive.
